In this book, such expressions are classified into three categories: those expressing people’s feelings and related situations; those indicating people’s actions and related situations; those describing situations involving inanimate objects. Explanations are given in both Japanese and English. Each kanji character has readings printed in kana. The many example sentences and pictures as well as review exercises also help readers to understand typical mimetic expressions.
